The SNP team in Glasgow North is calling on Glasgow City Council to scrap its plans to close Cadder Community Centre, just months after the Labour-run Council closed St Agnes’ Primary School. SNP Candidate for Glasgow North, Patrick Grady, said:   “People in Cadder deserve better.  This community needs places where groups can meet and there are activities for different age groups. ”   Local SNP MSP Bob Doris added:  “Labour have taken the people of Cadder for granted.  First they closed a local primary school, now they want to take away the community centre.  Glasgow City Council’s been given record amounts of cash from the SNP Government – what are they doing with it?” 

Patrick and Bob recently spent time in Cadder talking to local residents about the outrage they feel and building support for the campaign to save the centre.
